HEALTHY RECIPES:
Quinoa with Onions:
Rinse 1 c. quinoa with water. Bring quinoa and 2 c. of water to boil. When the water boils, turn off heat and let quiona sit on the burner with the heat turned off. After all the water is absorbed, fluff with fork. While quiona is cooking warm canola oil in saucepan and add 1 large chopped white onions, 1/4 t. sea salt and 1 T. zatar. Cook until onions are soft and then mix in with quionna.
Spray with Bragg's liquid amino acids or soy sauce. Leeks can be used in place of onions.

Quinnoa with cranberries and hazelnuts:
Rinse 1 c. quinoa with water. Bring quinoa and 2 c. of water to boil. When the water boils, turn off heat and let quiona sit on the burner with the heat turned off. After the water is absorbed, fluff with fork. Add 2 T. each of cranberries and raisins, toasted chopped hazelnuts, and toasted sunflower seeds. Add 1/4 c. chopped green onions, 1/4 t. sea salt, 1 T. zaatar, 2 T. olive oil.

Zaatar is a Middle Eastern spice composed of thyme, sumac, sesame seed and salt and can be purchased at Middle Eastern grocery stores.
